Meet the passionate creator behind Dark Plains Pictures, a production company dedicated to impactful storytelling and cinematic excellence.

Jason Plett

Writer and producer Jason Plett is a graduate of the Vancouver Film School Writing for Film, Television, and Video Games program. Jason has written several feature-length screenplays that blend smart storytelling, compelling characters, and meaningful drama. His script Nomad's Spawn, a sweeping fantasy epic, won Best Fantasy Script at the Oniros Film Awards in August 2023 and was an Official Selection at the 2024 Filmmatic Science Fiction and Fantasy Awards. Jason wrote and directed The Captive, Dark Plains Pictures' first major film production, where he showcased his ability to transfer the story’s powerful emotion onto the screen while maintaining a strong visual style. As a director, Jason is known for his meticulous attention to detail, motivational leadership, and skill in keeping productions on track and on schedule. His dedication to impactful storytelling continues to shape the creative vision of Dark Plains Pictures.

Christian Rademaker

Filmmaker and video editor Christian Rademaker, is a graduate of Toronto Film School, with expertise spanning video production, live broadcasts, and documentary filmmaking. Christian specializes in multi-camera productions, combining technical precision with a passion for storytelling. Christian brings a strong foundation in video editing, motion graphics, and narrative-driven content, with proficiency in post-production tools. His hands-on experience includes working with advanced equipment like RED Dragon cameras and green screen setups. According to those who have worked with him, even though Christian is skilled with film lighting, he also brightens a film set simply with his positive and encouraging presence. Christian’s dedication to his craft extends beyond the pride he takes in his work, showing also in his desire to further educate and mentor aspiring crew members.
